DIRECTV 10th Anniversary
August 9, 2009
August was a month of celebration for DIRECTV as it celebrated its 10th anniversary in Puerto Rico. To commemorate this event, the company celebrated with a party on August 9th at the luxurious Marriott Hotel located in Condado. Entertainment included reknown artists such as the merengue group Grupo Mania, salsa singer Luis Enrique, and the batucada band Zarabanda. Among the guests were people who have been doing business with the company since it started; employees, managers and different celebrities. Among the guests was Rafo Muniz, Silverio Perez, Luis Raul, Jennifer Colon (Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2009), Luisito Vigoreaux , and even the “rockero loco”, Joel Contreras. 2009 Baseball World Classic in Puerto Rico

The Puerto Rico team managed to get an undefeated 1st place during the first round. Now they travel to Miami to begin the second round with only one thing on their mind: the Championship. They remember too well that in 2006 they lost in this same round when they played against Cuba. Will the Puerto Rico team reach the semifinals?
